Among the 33 countries that participated in this year's most prestigious dog sporting event, the Philippines was the first ever country in Asia to participate in the World Mondioring Championships, which for this year was hosted in Switzerland. Team Philippines was represented by Mr. Eugene Reyes together with his German Shepherd dog, Barry. Together with Atty. Byron San Pedro with his Belgian Malinois dog, Booger. Both of which will be representing Team Philippines for Mondio Ring Level 3. Representing the team for Mondio Ring Level 2 will be Diego, a Belgian Malinois dog with his owner and handler, Mr. Cenen "Sonny" Matias. While for Mondio Ring Level 1, Team Philippines will be represented by Gaga, a Belgian Malinois dog with her owner and handler, Atty. Voltaire San Pedro.
For the year, 2011, the World Mondioring Championships was held at Sports Center "Grien" Lyss, Switzerland last September 28 to October 02.
So for Team Philippines, carry the Philippine Flag up high and put it into the world of protection dog sports. GO TEAM PHILIPPINES!
