The Philippine Mondio Ring Association, Inc. (PMRAI) held it's 50th and 51st Philippine Mondio Ring Trials last December 09 and 11, 2011 respectively, at the Filinvest Corporate City, Commerce Avenue corner Spectrum Midway, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. This was the PMRAI's year-end trials for the year 2011 and this prestigious dog sport event was graciously sponsored by Mayor Aldrin San Pedro and the city of Muntinlupa, earning the event's title as "Mayor Aldrin San Pedro's 2011 Mondio Ring Cup". Partnering with PMRAI on this event were Filinvest Corporate City and Vitality Dog Food. International Mondioring judge, Mr. William Langlois of France was invited by PMRAI to officiate the event. Mr. Langlois was also the one who judged Mondioring Levels 1 and 2 in the 2011 Mondioring World Cup in Switzerland held last September.

Team Kovu participated on both events, wherein Kovu ranked 12th out of the 12 Mondioring Level 1 competitors. While improvement on Kovu's performance was seen on the second day as he ranked 9th out of the 13 Mondioring Level 1 competitors. Kovu was still the only alternative breed (AB - American Bulldog) who participated on the said event, as the rest of the participants were dominated by the Belgian Malinois (BSM) breed, followed by the German Shepherd (GSD) breed.
